Cosentus Cares

Harmony House began in 2009 with a simple belief: that a child born on the streets of Gurugram deserves the same chance as any other. Today more than 1,000 children come through its two day shelters for classes, meals, healthcare and the ordinary comfort of being looked after. We have been part of this since November 2014.

In 1952, a group of parents in San Jose decided their children deserved more than the world was offering them. That decision grew into Hope Services, which today walks alongside 3,700 people with developmental disabilities and mental health needs across nine Bay Area counties. Cosentus is proud to sponsor their annual fundraising events.

Mental health care is hardest to reach for the people who need it most. Pacific Clinics has been closing that gap in California since 1867, and now supports close to 28,000 children, adults and families a year with treatment, crisis response, housing and early childhood programmes. Cosentus is a proud sponsor of their annual gala.

A young person with nowhere safe to sleep should not have to work it out alone. Since 1973, Bill Wilson Center has made sure they do not, with housing, counselling, foster youth services and crisis lines across Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. We are proud to support their Building Dreams Celebration.

Since 1986, anyone who walks into Someone Cares in Costa Mesa gets a hot meal and a seat at the table, no questions asked. Lunch runs every weekday, breakfast at weekends, and more than 100 families collect groceries here. Our team volunteers on site, cooking and serving alongside them.

Nobody in Orange County should have to choose between rent and dinner. Second Harvest moves 42 million pounds of food a year through more than 300 partner pantries, school sites and senior centres, reaching around 459,000 people every month. Cosentus teams spend days at their Irvine warehouse, sorting and packing.

A child who cannot see still has an entire world to learn. In Santa Ana, Beyond Blindness helps children with visual impairments and other disabilities do exactly that, from their earliest months through to age 22, with preschool, therapy, mobility training and steady support for their families. Cosentus is proud to stand behind their work.

Every meal is packed by hand. Volunteers stand shoulder to shoulder measuring rice, soy and vitamins into bags bound for children who would otherwise go without. Since 1999 that simple assembly line has produced more than 160 million meals across 65 countries. Our teams join the packing events whenever we can.

Alzheimer's takes people twice. First the memory, then the person you knew. The Alzheimer's Association funds more research into it than any nonprofit in the world, and keeps a helpline open around the clock for the families living with it tonight. Cosentus sponsors their annual fundraiser. For many on our team, this one is personal.

Bal Raksha Bharat, known for most of its life as Save the Children India, has reached more than 16 million children since 2008. Education, nutrition, protection from harm, and a way back after disaster. Cosentus is proud to support their work with children growing up in poverty across 15 Indian states.

Sponsorship is a strange sort of relationship. You may never meet the child, but you know their name, their school, how they are getting on. Many people at Cosentus sponsor a child or a family through ChildFund, which works in more than 60 countries on health, education and keeping children safe.

Outside Delhi's hospitals, families wait for days while someone they love is treated inside. Most have travelled a long way and have nothing left for food. Uday Foundation feeds them, and hands out medicines, blankets and warm clothing to people sleeping rough. Cosentus supports their relief drives throughout the year.

In Cabo San Lucas, a single parent who takes a shift often has nowhere to leave their child. Since 1999, Los Niños del Capitán has been that place: free daycare and preschool for around 65 children, with meals, medical care and someone to look after them. Cosentus is proud to support the centre.

India's street dogs rarely get a second look, let alone a second chance. IndieLove takes them in at its shelter in Gurugram, treats them and finds them homes, funding the work through boarding, a dog park and a small cafe. Cosentus supports their rescue and rehabilitation work.

Irvine is where our headquarters sits, and the people who look after this city deserve looking after too. Cosentus sponsors Irvine Police Department community programmes including Concert on the Green, along with rehabilitation services for officers and the service animals who work beside them.
